Pork chop with mushroom and red wine sauce

Ingredients:
Pork chops
Onion (medium sized sliced long)
Mushrooms (Sliced long)
Red wine (fruity flavors will taste good)- 1/2 cup
Heavy cream - 1/2 cup
Garlic and herb seasoning - 1/2 tsp
Pepper - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Olive oil - 5 tsp
Thyme

Method:
Take the pork chop and rub in 1 tsp of olive oil on both sides. Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic seasoning. Keep aside for a few minutes. In a thick pan, pour rest of the olive oil, bring it to high heat. Place the pork chop on the pan, leave it for a couple of minutes till it turns brown and turn it around for the other side to brown. Take a piece of aluminum foil and place the pork chop on it and put some thyme on it. Cover the chop with foil with space for the steam to collect. Place this in a 350 degree pre heated oven for 10 minutes.

Into the same pan with the remaining, add onions and mushrooms and sauté them for 2-3 minutes. After that, deglaze with the half cup of red wine. Scrape the bottom of the pan to get all the bits and pieces of the pork and fat. Let it simmer for a minute, to this, add the heavy cream. Add salt and pepper to taste and let it simmer till it becomes a thick sauce.

Remove the pork chop from the oven and place it on a plate and pour the mushroom sauce on it and serve.
